Sesame Aloo Capsicum dry

I got this recipe from my MIL, and totally love it.. Its super easy to make, few ingredients, and super yummy!!!

Serves 2-3

3 Aloo/ potatoes, cut into wedges
1 capsicum (any color of your choice, I used red), cut into wedges
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp chilli powder
½ tsp coriander powder
1 tbsp. sesame seeds
¼ tsp cumin/jeera seeds
½ tsp cumin powder
¼ tsp pepper
¼ tsp Chaat masala
Coriander to garnish
Salt to taste
Oil

Method:

Heat oil in a large pan, now add the jeera seeds and let it splutter. Now add sesame seeds and sauté for a min make sure it doesn’t burn. Now add the potato and sauté for 3 to 4 min. Add the capsicum and sauté for about 3 to 4 min. Now add all the masala (turmeric, chilli, cumin, coriander, pepper) and mix well, add salt to taste. Cover this and cook till the potatoes are done. Keep stirring from time to time so the potatoes don’t get burned or stick to the pan. You may add little more oil over this and then cover and cook. Once the potatoes are done sprinkle chaat masala and mix well. Serve hot with chapatti or plain parantha. Or you can make rolls with this as a filling.

Enjoy!
