Mushroom Masala
Serves: 2 - 3
Ingredients:
Mushroom button –
about 15 (cut in 4 )
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Onion – ½ large, chopped
Curry leaves - 4 -5
Curry leaves - 4 -5
Tomato – 1, chopped
Dry red chili – 2
Tumeric powder – ½ tsp
Chili powder – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Coconut oil – 3 - 4 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method:
Cut the mushroom in 4
and keep aside and chop the onion and tomato. Now in a pan, add oil and let it
become hot, now add the cumin seeds and let splutter, add curry leaves, dry red
chili and chopped onions (you may add salt to decrease cooking time) and sauté
till onions turn translucent. Now add the masalas (tumeric, chili and
coriander) and sauté well for about 2 to 3 mins. Now add the chopped tomato and
cook till they become mushy. Now add the mushrooms and mix the masala well,
cook till mushrooms are done (do not add water). Add salt to taste. Serve hot
with chapatti.
