Gobi aloo sabzi (dry)
Ingredients:
Cauliflower florets –
1 cup (cut to small florets)
Potato – 1 (cut length
wise just like French fries)
Onion – 1 cup (½ large,
1 medium or 2 small)
Tomato – 1, chopped
Jeera seeds – ½ tsp
Ginger garlic paste –
1 tsp
Turmeric- ¼ tsp
Chili powder – ¼ tsp
Chat masala- ¼ tsp
Kasoori Methi - ¼ tsp
Green chili – 1
Coriander leaves – ½ cup
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste
Method:
In a heavy bottom pan
add oil for frying, once hot fry the potatoes and cauliflower and set aside on
tissue paper to remove excess oil. Now in a pan add a little oil, and add jeera
once it starts spluttering add the onion and fry well, when it becomes
translucent add ginger garlic paste and green chili and sauté. Now add the
tomatoes and cook till it becomes mushy ( if the mixture is dry sprinkle little
water and keep stirring). Now add turmeric, chili pwd, kasoori methi and chaat masala and
saute for 2 min. Add the fried potato and cauliflower and mix well, add salt to
taste and cook for 2 to 3 min. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with chapati.
