Chicken Kebab in Skewers

Serves : 3 -4

Ingredients:

Chicken Breast – 3 (cut in half and squares)
Pepper (capsicum) – 1 (any color of your choice, I used ½ yellow and ½ green)
Onion – ½ large (cut in squares)
Yogurt – 5 tbsp.
Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Chili powder – 1 tsp
Paprika – ½ tsp
Kasoori methi – 1 tsp
Black pepper – ½ tsp
Tandoori masala – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – ½ a lemon
Oil – 2 tbsp.
Salt to taste

Method:

Cut the peppers, onion and chicken and keep aside. Now in a mixing bowl, add the yogurt, all the masalas ( Ginger garlic paste, garam masala, coriander powder, tumeric powder, chili powder, paprika, kasoori methi, Black pepper, Tandoori masala)  oil, lemon juice and salt to taste, now add the chicken and mix well and then add the peppers and onion and mix,  marinate and keep for few hours or overnight in the refrigerator ( Since I made this for dinner, I marinated it in the morning – The more the chicken is marinated the better it tastes.

Before putting the chicken and veggie in the skewers, soak it in water for about 30 min so that it doesn’t burn. Once that is done, put the chicken and veggies alternating in the skewers and put in the oven for about 45 min turning it every 15 mins.

Serve with mint or coriander chutney.

Enjoy!
